OK chaps here is my ode to these worthy pistols. Forged from old steel, a plough’s worn grace, The Makarov pistol found its place. Once it tilled fields under open skies, Now shaped to fire where duty lies. Rough hands reworked the metal’s yield, From sowing earth to battle’s field. A Soviet gun, simple and spare, With farmers’ toil still living there. Awww! You have got a soft spot for them really... And I don't mean that boggy patch at the end of the garden.

Arrived today in the post. Come on CaptDAR, deal out your worst... 😜 Well done Mark. Believe it or not, I once owned your pistol as I have a record of the serial number - small world! The grips look to have been changed since I sold it though and I quite like the ones on your new pistol. This pistol is a very smooth shooter from memory and the holster is a relatively rare one intended for the Chinese Type 59 Makarov copy. Enjoy! I wouldn't be surprised if you have owned half of the examples in circulation at some point! Taken a chance on that black grip from Protek, all bought and paid for.

LOL! I've only ever sold 3.
I think the Protek grip will fit Mark - I feel it in my bones.
Let me know if you decide to part with the red grips on your pistol though as I may well be interested.
