Was actively looking to round out my Roo-skie collection, when unexpectedly, up popped this Gletcher TT1941 (NBB) on Amazon of all places....lol. From what I understand, the TT-33 replaced the Nagant revolver, and in turn was replaced by the Makarov. The gun is solid, well built, and has weight. Almost no rattle, and the finish is excellent. Not field strippable without a punch and hammer. No blow back, although the slide will pull back and cock the hammer. Slide lock lever functions. The bogus pendulum 1911 trigger is a bit heavy, but manageable, even with handicapped fingers/hands like mine. The darker brown plastic grips mimic wood fairly well, and are more authentic to war time use, along with the older slide serrations. Drop out metal stick mag is easy to load, although a spare is hard to find. Came packaged in a box with a 6mm allen key, booklet, and unexpected "Free Bonus Gift" of a nylon sheath. For $99.99, Amazon made me an "offer I couldn't refuse".....

Well it's definitely a marmite pistol, you either love 'em or hate 'em Me ? Well, it's definitely one of the ugliest autos I've ever seen, it even makes the Glock look good nice okay- ish, lol. Each to their own buddy, as long as you're happy that's all that counts !

They are blinded by gold pistols, ugly revolvers and guns that shoot plastic. My Soviet pistols. The Stechkin APS Blow back and the Makarov Blowback. Both Gletcher too.

But if that is supposed to be a type 54,why does it still have 'TT' on it? 🤔 Because it was made in China / Taiwan?

Well I like the Tokarev, at least its different. It would be a boring forum if we all only just liked one thing. 💤 😉

Here's a pretty good run down on the TT33 from a real steel collector that goes a little beyond the "looks" factor..................................................

I've watched quite a few of the Legacy Collectable vids, he's a very knowledgeable guy and it's even better when you get a cameo from 'Gun Jesus' himself, lol.
