I recently sold my PPK, but kept the very nice hard-case that I bought for it. I would like to make it the home for another replica, but the only one that I have found that fits is the Sig Sauer P365. Reading reviews, it seems to be suitable if you don't have big hands, which I don't, also it has a full size drop out magazine, lock-back on last shot and later models are field strippable. Should this be my next replica?

I've been looking at getting one of those for myself for a good while now as they are a great looking compact auto, Whisper (aka Fun Shootin') has got one but he seems to have lost love for it over time..... It may be worth contacting him and seeing if he wants rid of it ? Just a thought buddy

Tried to contact him, but his profile does not accept PM's. Dropped a suggestion in a thread, but no response. I might just have to bite the 'bb' and buy a new one from Drapers, after my lathe is up and running through.

Maybe if we can convert him and get him to come over here you could talk to him direct but without being able to send him a PM on the AGF I don't see we can do it I'd forgotten about you getting a lathe ( been so busy with all of this), how you getting on with the search for one ?

Think I have picked one out on eBay, but I have to wait until my birthday in a couple of weeks and funds are 'granted'.

I might just have to bite the 'bb' and buy a new one from Drapers, after my lathe is up and running through. I had a few problems with my profile on the AGF. Unbeknown to me the mods had suspended my profile pms - I knew they’ed restricted my page views but I lived with that - replying to threads was a nightmare though and I usually ended up with a blank page instead of a reply box. I saw your question about the p365 but after four attempts to reply I’d given up. I have fallen out of love with the P365 but I used to have a habit of selling things I’d fallen out of love with and six months later regretted it, and so I rarely sell anything these days. I spent so much on accessories for the P365 they ended up costing more money than I spent on the pistol in the first place I’ll do a post showing the lighting kit I have for it. It will make a nice first post for me here.

Thinking back to the P365 and the time I bought it the only thing I can think of in disliking it was it’s size and how it felt in my hand. I found my lower palm and little finger having nothing to grip onto leading me to have a poor grip overall on the pistol. Other than that I couldn’t fault it, still can’t. She’s a little beauty and nothings perfect. Here’s a link to my blog about buying it, shooting it and accessorising it;

I really like the idea of a small, compact autoloader. I’ve got a PPK but it’s not working properly at the moment, and the stick magazines just aren’t the same

I bought a faulty one and managed to fix it, but it needed a new valve at £25! I recently sold it (at a loss) to add some funds to my lathe fund. Once that is installed in the shed, I will be saving up for a P365, probably new from Drapers or Solware, unless a good used one pops up for sale.

I really love the PPK, I appreciate it's not the best or most reliable replica but I had to have one in my collection. Back in the late 90s a friend and I went in 50/50 on an Umarex Beretta, his younger brother opted for the brand new Umarex Walther PPK (mainly because it was cheaper, also because he loved GoldenEye on the N64). When the guns arrived, which if I recall were mail ordered through JS Ramsbottoms - the Beretta got handled and used for about 10 minutes until we all stated playing with the PPK. I think that was the first CO2 blowback I handled and we all loved it. It did however break after about a weeks worth of use Mine has a luxury home now, I like to get nice cases and foam inserts from Waltherfan over on the AGF for my 'keepers'

Modski66 I’m not certain to be honest, it’s had probably 4K bbs through it, but now the action just doesn’t cycle fully so it often fails to feed. I expect it needs a new valve, but I’ve never got round to looking into it. It was my favourite for a while so I ought to repair it at some point
