I have seen that one, and it's in Derby where I work, so could be a cash sale - but not at that price, which is why I didn't post it on the bargain section.
What would be a more appropriate price?
The one for £165 at the weekend was a better deal, but I was dithering over the possibility of a S&W 79g and missed out. Also the Derby one has the erroneous short tube AND the big butt-end.
Should have had the 2x12g carbine I had in my hand at a Melbourne gun fayre a couple of years ago for £120. 🤦

I did wonder what the original price was, so on the rule of thumb that second hand is about 2/3 of original price, the Derby one should be £210 - £215. Does that make sense and sound like a more reasonable price, or is it still too high by your standards twodoctors?

This is regardless of age and quality... At 2/3 RRP, I would actually consider getting it new, just for the warranty and peace of mind. 🤷🏻♂️

It's mine now! 😎
It is very nice, know I shouldn't have, and of course next week a 79g will appear somewhere, but it's still there as an aspirational acquisition...
Can't have everything all at once now can we!
Can we? 😁

AH brill, I have to say I initially favoured the shell ejecting versions, but not having to pick up the shells, the accuracy and the power of the Walther has really swung me.
I get very little chance to plink but think that mine would be the last gun I'd ever get rid of.

I can't get over what a beautiful finish is on the receiver, a really classy antique brass effect, and the tubes have a very good finish too.
SO WHY DID THEY HAVE TO PUT A FECKING SHORT MAGAZINE ON IT? 🤬
When I get chance I will try to put some pictures up, hopefully they will show the finish.

I like that. I really do. If you decide it's not for you Mark, let me know. Or swap for my minty Wells Fargo.

I have already ordered a length of steel pipe to have a go at sorting out the circumcised magazine tube, (which in the flesh does not look quite so bad). I will definitely be replacing the plastic muzzle and magazine bungs with steel items, and the plastic rear sight is less than appealing too!

I think it's a bit too bling for me with the gold plating, and I am not keen on the waggon graphic...

I think it's a bit too bling for me with the gold plating, and I am not keen on the waggon graphic... No worries. I might buy myself a new Duke version as I really like them. But I also have a hankering for the shell ejector again. Decision, decisions.
