I went a head and shimmed it with a piece from a milk carton, there was no play at all the only thing when the hammer hits the valve it stops right before it. I just backed off a touch the top screw near the sight and it's perfect now. No play at all, it's hitting the valve, it's smooth now too:) I did try a piece from pop can but there was still play, I could have doubled up with another piece, didn't think of that till later. I might even sand down the shim a bit that's in it already! Thanks for bring this subject up again, I must have tried to shim somewhere else last time. Thanks The gap is not as big as this looks in this pic, the grip is on you can't see it but now i'm looking at it again, I should sand it down.

The side plate needs to go back and seat fully into it's right place, if not you'll need to reduce the shim thickness. But you're getting there buddy

I fixed it.. no way you can leave it like that picture, that would be called very shabby work!
