I'd like to think we'd be on the same side, against the bandits that have just ridden in from AGFville looking to cause trouble. 75 yards? That's over your shoulder in a mirror, right? You have read about my duel with Tut?

What would be your quick draw process in stages? I don’t touch the trigger until the gun is horizontal, so I’m not at risk of shooting myself. Mine in counts is: 1. Hand around grip, thumb on hammer 2. Gun from holster, vertically upwards 3. Begin rotation 90 degrees to target, simultaneous cocking of hammer 4. Finger to trigger and point shoot/instinct aim to target and fire I lay my finger on the outside of the holster so I don’t shoot myself in the leg accidentally as I draw. It seems slow written out but practiced is really quite fast I realise that I’ve given away my secrets now, but I’m sure we won’t have to face each other at dawn. It’s against covid regulations anyway! My pistol is in the right hand cross draw position with my hand hovering slightly above it. I like to be able to feel the trigger as I go for the draw. The hammer is resting on an empty chamber so that's safe (always five in cylinder, not 6). As I draw, the trigger finger is already squeezing the trigger and my thumb is cocking the hammer. As soon as my thumb leaves the hammer the shot is fired. And at 75yds, you'll miss me anyway. I won't. Why pardner I always use the Hickok stance for these short 75 yard measured shots.

Looks like I need to drill my revolver quickdraw a bit more then...

Got this for an absolute bargain off the bay. Fits my Colt Navy 1851 perfectly. Now with added RH Crossdraw holster, perfect. And having a nice Jim Beam to salute it tonight. Great looking rig!
